A lighter week that you will still eat
Diet food fails when it feels like a punishment. Ask for lower calories, enough protein, and food you already like. Then read the portions like an adult, not like a challenge.
Lower calorie is a setting, not a personality
You can ask for lighter cooking: less oil than a restaurant would use, a proper portion, vegetables that are part of the meal rather than a sad side. Pick the food you will actually finish. A plan you abandon on Thursday is just a normal week with extra guilt.
If a doctor or a dietitian gave you a target, use that. Do not take a generated plan as medical advice. It can respect a calorie band and a preference. It cannot see your blood tests.
The plate that keeps you from raiding the cupboard
Volume and protein matter more than a clever dressing. A large amount of vegetables, a fist of chicken, fish, eggs, tofu or beans, and a starch you like, so you are not hungry at 9pm and calling it a failure. Say if you want high protein as well as lighter. Otherwise you get a polite salad and a headache.
Cuisine is allowed. Lighter does not mean unseasoned. Lemon, chilli, herbs, vinegar, soy, a teaspoon of something delicious. The oil is the part to watch, not the flavour.
Shop for the week you named
Generate the days together. The list should repeat ingredients on purpose: one bag of greens, one protein you can cook two ways, yoghurt or beans for the gaps. A different "healthy" cuisine every night is how the shop becomes expensive and the food becomes waste.
If a recipe looks like diet theatre — cauliflower pretending very hard to be rice, and you hate it — reject it. You already know what you will not eat. Tell the planner that on day one.
