You do not need fifty dinner ideas. You need one.

The dinner-idea search usually means it is late, you are hungry, and the usual rotation has gone stale. Describe the evening. You will get further than another list of twenty chicken dishes.

Why the lists do not help

They are written for nobody in particular. Creamy tuscan chicken, a salmon tray, a stir fry. You click three, realise you lack the cream, the salmon and the patience, and you are back at the fridge. The search felt like progress. It was browsing.

If the same five dinners are all you cook, that is not a failure. Write them down and ask for neighbours: same effort, one thing changed, so you are not eating the identical pasta until you resent it.

Fussy tables and leftovers

A picky eater is a constraint, like an allergy. Put it in once: no onions, sauce on the side, a plain version of the same starch. Asking the generator to "make it kid friendly" without saying what the child actually refuses just produces milder salt.

Leftovers are the other honest brief. Roast chicken tonight should imply soup or a rice dish later in the week, and the shopping list should not repurchase the whole meal. If you keep having this conversation at 6pm, plan the week once. The ideas page is for the evening the plan fell over.
