Tell it which machine is doing the work

An air fryer, a slow cooker and a pressure cooker are not the same recipe with the temperature crossed out. Say what you own. The method should match that machine, including roughly how long things take.

The machine changes the recipe

Air fryers run hot and dry. They like space; a full basket steams. Slow cookers are wet and patient, and they dull herbs if you add them at the start. A pressure cooker is a weeknight stew that thinks it is a Sunday one, and it does not brown unless you use the sauté step on purpose.

Paste a recipe you like and say which machine. Or describe the dinner and the appliance together. "Chicken thighs, air fryer, under thirty minutes" is a complete sentence.

What it cannot know

Your model’s buttons. A 3-litre pot and a 6-litre pot. Whether your air fryer runs angry. The method can give a time and a temperature that are sensible starting points. You still open the drawer, look, and give it two more minutes. That is cooking, not a failure of the instructions.

If you have both a hob and a machine, say which you want tonight. A slow cooker recipe is useless when you got home late and the pot is cold.

Energy and attention

The oven for one tray of vegetables is a lot of heat for a small dinner. The air fryer or a covered pan may be the better tool, and it is fine to ask for that. The slow cooker is the opposite: it uses a little power for a long time, and it lets you be elsewhere.

Keep a note of the timings that worked in your kitchen. Next time, put them in the prompt. The appliance did not change. Your memory of it did.
